The Historic Oakwood Preview Party is a formal / semi-formal  evening of fund and friend raising held on the Thursday before the Candlelight Tour. This year's party will be on December 7th at 6:30 p.m.. Please join us for a progressive evening of nibbles and light adult beverages as we visit three private homes and then gather for a dance at All Saints Chapel.

Tour Raleigh's Living History
The 46th annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour® will be held 1PM-7PM, Saturday and Sunday, December 9th and 10th, 2017.

This annual event is the public's opportunity to see inside some of the private homes in Historic Oakwood, a 19th century neighborhood located near downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Oakwood, designated on the National Register of Historic Places and also Raleigh's first local historic district, is comprised of hundreds of homes in architectural styles including Victorian, Queen Anne and Craftsman.

This year, eleven private homes decorated for the holidays will be open and staffed with docents to enlighten you on the rich history of each property as walk through time. Tickets are valid for either day and you may tour the properties at your own pace, in any order.

Tickets: $30
Advance Rate: $25

The Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood is seeking volunteers for the 46th Annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour®. Not only is volunteering fun but you could even earn a free ticket to the Tour for your services.

2018 Oakwood Directory

The production of a 2018 Oakwood Resident Directory has been approved by the SPHO Board. We hope to have the new edition out late this fall. All residents will be required to submit their contact information for inclusion - data from the 2015 and prior editions will NOT be used. Oakwood residents should look for announcements on how to submit their information in the Oakwood News and on the Listserv.
