1971 - Eric Ennis

Eric first lived at 400 Polk Street, and at three other addresses after that, all within Oakwood.

“It was during my regime as president [of the Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood] that the City announced that a road was going to come through. It was going to affect Mordecai and Oakwood. It was going to stretch from Capital Boulevard into town, a big four lane highway extending out to Capital Boulevard… It was going to follow Bloodworth Street. If that had gone through, there would be no Oakwood today.”
