Can I tour Historic Oakwood?
Yes! Historic Oakwood is open to visitors year-round. The free walking tour is self-guided, allowing you to explore the neighborhood at your own pace.
Are homes open to the public?
We are sorry but generally not. These are private homes with actual families living here. But once a year, ten or so homes open up for a very special weekend to kick off the holidays. Find out more about the Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour here.
Is the Historic Oakwood Walking Tour free?
Yes. The walking tour brochure is completely free to download or pick up at the Visit Raleigh Visitor Center.
Are there guided tours of Oakwood?
